I got an email from IAMS today. It assures us (from their marketing dept.) that their food is safe, and if we register on a certain website w/them, they will give us a voucher for $10 for our pet's food.
"As a gesture of our dedication to keeping your pets healthy and happy, we would like to invite the first 250,000 pet owners to register at
www.IamsPromise.com to receive a voucher for a free 4-lb. bag of either our dry dog or dry cat food or the equivalent value (up to $6.50 for dog and $10.00 for cat) off a larger size bag. This will exceed over 1 million pounds of free food."
I sent back an email asking what were they going to do for those of us whose animals died from their food. I stated that a $10 voucher does no good if the animals are no longer living because of their food. I thought it was a very insensitive email, because they do have my email on file as one whose animals are deceased from this debacle. They should have cross-referenced email addresses.
I stated that I did report this in to them and yet have heard nothing back, other than taking my report. What are they going to do?
I don't expect to hear back.
