I too used to sell Tupperware. That's a great way to build your stock. However, I don't use my Tupperware for storage of leftovers or potentially icky stuff. And I have given away a lot of my stuff. It is too bulky to store.

Other than that, I have a really hard time purchasing disposable containers. I don't like the idea of buying something so sturdy only to see it end up in a landfill. And I don't like spending money on something that is intended to be thrown away. It is like I'm saying, "Here, let me throw a few quarters into the garbage can everyday."

However, I don't have to pack a lunch for DD everyday either. Aside from the occasional sheet of aluminum foil or cling wrap, I don't need a lot of disposable stuff.

I buy the cheap Ziplocs / disposables because my son takes them to school. So if he looses it - no biggie. I dont buy Tupperware, even though they have that guarantee, it will do no good if its been lost.

Even though they are disposable, I will wash them and reuse them over and over again. And if people come over for dinner I can pack them food and they can take the container with them.
