Do you think its worth it to spend more money on Tupperware (I think they have a money back guarantee if something happens to one of their items) or do you buy the cheaper Ziploc or Rubbermaid containers. I like the bigger storage bowls from Tupperware. For the smaller containers it's cheaper for me to buy the other brands, especially if I have a coupon. What do you buy?

I've started buying the ziplock ones. I like them!! I buy the snack size ones for my kids. They are very durable and seem to last really well. AND they are cheap enough with ta coupon that you can replace them easily if need be. I bought some back in january, and I've only lost maybe 1 or 2 out of 8 oif them! I send them to school for snacks and so far, they are great!

I like tupperware for storage bowls, canisters, cake takers, pitchers, etc. I use rubbermaid for lunches and cereal containers. Gladware doesn't hold up well.

I own the Tupperware cereal containers that I bought years and years ago that are still in great shape through the dishwasher. Mainly though I use rubbermaid and ziplock to store snack foods.

I buy whatever. Usually not tupperware because they are so expensive. I like the cheap ones that I can through away if I leave food in it too long and it gets gross.

I use to sell Tupperware years ago so I tend to lean that way. However, I never buy it brand new, I always check the thrift stores or garage sales. I don't worry much about leftover things, but if it goes in the freezer it's definately in Tupperware! I also put ALL the kids cereal, pretzles, crackers, peanuts, snacks, etc. in Tupperware. I buy the cheap MOM cereal and it always tastes fresh (when the kids remember to close the container!) Oh, and hard taco shells - they'll stay fresh for months in Tupperware! If the kids are just packing a snack to school I use the cheap zipper bags.

I agree Ziplock is most often used at my house. But I do like tupperware best for cookies and thinks. Always look at garage sales for old tupperware. Around here it sells for $1-2 per piece and 0.50 if the lid is cracked. Our neighbor sells tupperware and will replace the lids for free on those -- I LOVE this finds. She said it does not matter if you bought it new or used they honor the product. Oh but be warned some of the older colors are not available any longer so you may end up with a yellow bowl and white lid. But for 0.50 a piece I am just fine with that.

I like Gladware. I'm not a fan of Tupperware, my MIL bought me a big set when we got married and I ended up giving it away, I just wasn't all that fond of it, don't really know why. I loved it when Glad and other companies came out with their 'disposable' containers. They last forever for me, go thru the dishwasher like a dream, freeze well etc If they crack or get messed up, no biggie because they weren't a huge investment in the first place. I haven't found that any of my food goes stale in 'non' Tupperware containers...everyone is different I'm sure!

I used to buy only tupperware because of the money back guarentee but I never followed through with it. I just get the Ziplock ones now - they work just fine for me.
