It is a French Door Refrigerator, with the freezer on the bottom. The refrigerator has two doors, side-by-side.

Do you like this kind of refrigerator? I have heard they are the "IN" thing, as far as refrig's go?????

I wanted a new fridge and was thinking about getting one of those, but one of my friends said her sister had gotten one and HATED it!! Said it was way too hard to get stuff out of the freezer. So I don't know first hand. But I ended up getting a traditional refrigerator because I didn't want to risk it. HTH

They also don't hold as much ice as traditional icemakers - it's a problem with a large group.

Other than that - it's really great if you use a lot of big serving dishes, trays, etc because there is a lot of room.

Probably not a good option if you are short, because then you wouldn't be able to reach the miscellaneous stuff that gets shoved to the back. My mom has already had hers serviced several times and it's less than a year old. She would not purchase this fridge again.

I don't like to buy the "brand new" model of anything. Give them a few years to work out the kinks - especially on something this expensive.

I don't have one, but have been researching - Consumer reports (May or June) just did a thing on fridges. I won't get one because I can't bend over, nor do I want to, to do the freezer thing. I will stick w/my side by side.

My MIL has one and she loves it. Ice isn't an issue as she has a separate ice maker. She really likes the drawer freezer and feels like she can keep it more organized and fit more items in it. Everyone is different!

I don't know about the French Door thing, but I come from a long line of freezers on the bottom fridge (my great grandmother, grandmother, mother and aunt all had these) and when I went with the freezer on the top or side by side - I liked it so much better!!

My mom would be bending and stooping and scurrying around that darn freezer on the bottom, that when I had my first apt. and of course the fridge was on the top - I was sold. My mom was forever 'losing' things in her freezer just because you can't get in there as well (IMO). I'll never get one, and really can't understand why my family raved about it in the first place.

I have a side by side but it is much wider than regular side by sides. I consented (dh wanted this) because we have a large freezer in the basement. I need to have the access to freeze a whole cookie sheet of things at a time, which you definitely can't with a side by side. But since I already have a big freezer, I agreed and now like it. I am actually more organized with shelves for fruit/veggies, things used every day, meats, etc.

i have a refrigerator with the freezer on the bottom. it does not have 2 doors on top for frigde tho. the reason i got it was because my inlaws were living with us and it was easier for them to lean on their walkers and get ice then trying to stand tippy toes and reach for it! it has worked great for us. i bought it at best buy and got an extended 10 year warranty on it for $99

I have one of these, it has an ice maker and water dispenser on the door. I keep only what I need for the week in the freezer, its well organized so I am not bending over more than a few seconds. The fridge is so much more roomier than my old side by side... I absolutely love it and so do 2 of my friends who got one after seeing mine.

We have one and I love it! The only complaint is that it's hard to get much into the freezer (we bought a separate freezer and put in our garage to handle the over flow). I make a lot of freezable meals (make twice the recipe, eat one meal, freeze the other) so we need a lot of freezer space.

Got a new refrig with freezer on bottom (regular door on top) one year ago and will never ever have another kind. I love it. In any kind of refrig, you have to stoop to get whatever is on the bottom and I do not get as many things out of the freezer as I did the refrigerator. It is so much easier.
