Hmmmm...I think it's a pretty important thing...wanna just leave them where they are to get the message out and prevent drunk/sick kids?
I had read this and planned to talk to ds' school. He had recess just before lunch - they didn't give the kids time/opportunity to wash their hands in the bathroom (and thought I was overprotective when I kind of fought it) before going in to lunch after getting dirty at recess. They just stood by the door and sprayed sanitizer on everybody's hands. Then the kids go and eat carrot sticks, nuggets, burgers, etc. w/their hands...get the picture? Mrs. desertmom will bringing this up again at the pre starting school meetings. Problem is, their answer is "Well, we can take recess out." That is not the issue - they should be washing their hands before eating, no matter what! n my soapbox: n my soapbox: n my soapbox:
