The ONLY thing I wanted with my birthday money last month was a pair of Crocs. Thanks to a helpful Mommysaver, I got a code from shoebuy.com and got a discount. They had free shipping and free return shipping if not satisfied, so I thought, "This is a great deal."
The Crocs came right before I went to work at the vet clinic one night. I put them on and wore them to the clinic. I was only wearing them for ONE HOUR. They pinched my feet and were a tad too small. "No problem," I thought. They have free return shipping. So I mailed them back.
This was a couple of weeks ago. I had the UPS confirmation that they had received them, but I hadn't heard from the company. I emailed them, requesting the status of my return. I get an email today that says that my return has been denied, because the shoes showed wear. WHAT?? I wore them for an hour and they hurt my feet.
Am I being silly? Shouldn't the company exchange, as I requested? By the way, I thought about the fact that I wore them when I boxed them up for the return. I did not think they looked worn.
So, I am out the money and I'm going to get those shoes back. As silly as it sounds (and yes, I know it sounds silly), but I really wanted to cry about this. I have not splurged on a cotton-picking thing since we have been working hard on our debt reduction. This was $27 or so of my birthday money, and I was excited to spend it.
I don't think emailing them back is going to do a darn thing. They are already shipping my shoes back, so what can I do?
I will NOT take $30 out of another fund to buy Crocs. That's just wasteful at this point. So, when I receive them, I will either put the Crocs on the barter board or put them out for our garage sale.
Thanks for letting me vent and have a pity party.

I had the same problem with another company thats why when my son told me about REI's return policy (anything for any reason at any time in any condition for a refund replacement or exchange) I started using them. I bought him 2 pair of Crocs a few years ago,so that he always has a pair to wear when we returned the old beat up ones. They are $37 thru REI but like I said I have only bought 2 pair - he has returned them 5 times already for new ones at no extra charge other than shipping which is less than $5.
I always try on shoes in a store before buying them online - that way you know exactly how they fit.

Yes, I am kicking myself for not trying them on first. But, we tried!!! We live in the boonies and no place in this town sells them. When we were in "the city", we went to a mall on our way home from seeing Dave Ramsey, and (would you believe??) no place in that mall sold them, either? We just didn't have the time or additional gas money to travel to another place.
Gosh, I'm whiny tonight! Sorry.
But you're totally right. I should have tried them on. But I felt that since they had free return shipping, that it wouldn't be a problem to return them. I guess this was a lesson learned.

My local Crocs store has been great with exchanges - you may want to check the Crocs store online and see if they will do an exchange.
Regarding ShoeBuy.com, I haven't been having much faith in them, since we've had a few spammers on here spamming that company. To me, that means low budget, not customer service-oriented. I know that ShoeBuy.com is fairly large, but it's their affiliate programs that are spamming - they lose commissions if there's a return. Often an affiliate it the one who decides whether to take a return, as the company may ask them first. Companies such as BabiesRUs also do affiliate programs, but I won't deal thru an affiliate - I'll go thru the company itself, unless it's thru Mommysavers (like Silverjewelry.com) or another company that I absolutely know.
I hope the Croc store online will help you with an exchange - as said, the local store was great. In fact, I need to exchange another pair for my dd.

I don't think they have Crocs but Kohls has a great return policy. Just about a week ago they let me return something that my husband got as a Christmas present with a receipt! Most places limit refund time but they did not.
They also have great men's clothes for work (business casual stuff).

I've returned things to shoebuy no problems, but they weren't worn. I've also called them a couple times and had good customer service.
I think you should be able to sell them easily, either on the BB or Craigslist would be a good place. Sorry they don't fit! I sent my crocs back too, they were so uncomfortable!
