Hi, I am wondering if anyone here uses soy milk? What brands/flavors are the best and most kid-friendly? Has anyone tried the little soy milk boxes for their kids' lunchboxes?

Thanks!

I prefer Rice Dream Rice Milk. I think they make the drink boxes too. I'm a little leary of feeding my boys too much soy. It has isoflavins that act similiar to estregen.

Ok, that thought has crossed my mind too. My DH loves that Rice Dream. Do you know if it has protein in it?

My dd LOVES soy milk, but prefers the vanilla. We've also had the chocolate. She hated rice milk, so I guess it's just a personal preference.

Rice Dream does not have as much protein as Soy milk. We use Soy Dream (the plain, enriched variety) around here. As far as the estrogen thing goes, keep in mind that in China tofu/soy is one of their staple foods, and they're reproducing like crazy, so I don't worry too much about that. I know a lot of people like Silk soy milk, but I prefer Soy Dream. Just make sure to shake the cartons really well before each use.

I only use soy milk. I buy Meijer Organic Original flavor. I've tried many, and this is the best tasting to me. If you do not live near a Meijer, my second choice would be Silk Original. The Vanilla flavors are incredibly sweet while the original is smooth and subtle. For chocolate milk, I buy Silk. Much better than buying regular soy milk and adding chocolate to it.

I also use Veggie Shreds brand for cheese products - we are a completely dairy free house!
