my house is a cereal house. we are big on cereal and milk around these parts LOL...and i recently decided that it would be be a help and a saving grace to find cheaper cereals when i don't have coupons to match sales. so i tried malt o meal cereals.

my opinion: A+ all around. and trust me, my girls and hubby don't eat nasty cereal. neither do i. ALL of their cereals taste just as good, if not better, than the name brand counterparts. their cinnamon toast crunch, and their fruit loops are just great...and the best thing about them, most of the bags you purchase have 75 cents off coupons inside. not only that, but they allow them to double and triple, which means the bag would be free because they cost only about 1.80 per bag

we have stopped using name brand cereals here unless they are on sale and i can get a great deal. last week all malt o meal cereals were on sale for 1.00...i brought about 20 bags!

great try, great buy!

This month's All You magazine, which is loaded w/ great coupons, has a coupon for $1.00 off Malt-o-meal cereal, too! We just bought a bag tonight!

oh, and i have a tip for mommy's who have children that "only like" namebrand so to speak.

not sure if it goes here but it's related so.

my girls would complain when they saw that the cereal didn't have the popular characters on the box....like tony the tiger, or toucan sam, or whomever...so what did i do?

i went to the 99 cents store and brought cute plastic canisters to put the cereal in. they can't tell the differnce because i load the canisters with cereal while they are away. they don't know if it's namebrand cereal or not in there! and since they taste even better, my girls have stopped complaining that they don't have a namebrand cereal, and my canisters look cute and colorful with the different cereals in them. they are plastic so my girls can use them to get cereal without them breaking...and they eliminate the unattractive bags all over the kitchen and fridge! i love it!

We LOVE MOM cereals! They ARE just as good or better than name brands and they are a GREAT value. We eat tons of cereal too...just bought two huge bags of frosted mini spooners (frosted mini wheats) and frosted flakes tonight.

I also do the canisters...it keeps my kids from fighting over who is going to read the bag/box while they eat which drives me INSANE.

We also LOVE MOM cereals. The ONLY one I haven't liked so far is their version of Fruity Pebbles. I actually prefer MOM Frosted Flakes to Kelloggs. I buy the giant bags at Walmart and it saves us so much money on cereal.

They also go on sale for 10 for 10 about 2 times a year. So I always save alot of my coupons and get them for free.

I love MOM cereal also . I just started buying it a couple of months ago and I love them.

we just had the 10 for 10 here, but there wasn't a limit, so technically i did 20 for 20 LOL. i only had about 4 coupons though, so only 4 bags were free. but next sale...haha, i'm stocking up big time now!
