I want to buy a carpet cleaner, like a shampoo/steam vac...something like that. Does anyone have any tips? Like which ones are good and which ones to stay away from? I want an upright, with steam, other than that I'm not really sure what else to look for....Thanks

I have the Hoover Steamvac Dual V and have been very pleased with it (and have recommended it to several other people). Look for something with separate clean and dirty water containers. When we were looking a couple years ago we were advised to avoid Bissell but I'm not sure why. I know my mom used to have a Bissell Green Machine that she didn't like. Good luck!
