I had relatives over last year around the holidays for several weeks. They had a 2 yr old that was, forgive me for saying this, but hellish!!! He was so undisciplined!!! He would not stop flushing my toilet, slamming doors , throwing toys, and worst of all, staining my carpet.

It's a year later, and my dd's room still has so many carpet stains it's embarrassing! I have tried spot cleaners but none seem to be able to clean up the orange & grape soda the boy spilled everywhere!!! I have even steam cleaned which I do once or twice a year. It seemed to help at first , only to have the stains reappear when the carpet fully dried.

I can't afford to replace the carpet. Any suggestions?

I *love* Spot Shot! I think it does a great job...my Mom turned me on to it and it's been great. It comes in an aerosol and then also a spray. Personally, I think the aerosol works better.

You can get it at all different places...Target, Home Depot etc

Spot Shot Carpet Stain Remover: WD-40, Lava, 3-IN-ONE, 2000 Flushes, Carpet Fresh, X-14 and Spot Shot are all part of the WD-40 Company family!.

I swear by Henry's Carpet and upholstry cleaner. My mom bought me a pack of it 2.5 years ago and I have never tried anything else again.
It is a little pricey at first...but I am on the same package that I started out with (B/c you dilute with water) and am only getting low now

For some reason I can't link the product page, but if you goto QVC.com and type in Henry's it returns the product description.

I'm also a huge fan of Spot Shot. It gets out really tough stains. I've tried Woolite's OxyDeep cleaner and it does a good job, but not as good as Spot Shot.

I used baking soda and dawn dish soap on a spot, but I did it right away and it worked well. Too well, almost.
