Some people swear by one or the other. Every once in a great while I've noticed that powder detergent doesn't dissolve all the way and the clothes come out of the wash with a few flakes of powder. Other than that, I really haven't noticed a difference in either type of detergent when it comes to cleanliness.

Thoughts?

I have not had much luck with powdered detergent. I have the same problem as you!!! I wonder if it has to do with too many clohtes, or just the type or temperature of the water. Either way, I just use liquid and it works best for me!

It seems to depend a lot on the type of water you have. I can use either, powdered or liquid...I like powdered though.

I prefer powder but it is harder to find these days, so normally I use the liquid. It seems like the powder lasts longer to me.

I also use the liquid. i used to use the powder but my clothes would have white spots on them sometimes. I haven't had a problem since the switch.

I use liquid, my basement(where the washer/dryer is located) is very damp, and if I buy powered it gets really clumpy.

I use liquid. My basement isn't damp but cool so the clumpy issue and we have well water, so I don't think it breaks down the powder as well either.

I kind of perfer the powder kind- it lasts longer for us. ITA with Oregano- I think a lot depends on your type of water on which works better.
