I think it comes with one remote, one numbchuck, and the sports package of games. You can play everything with one remote, but is easier with two. We bought an extra remote and numbchuck. I don't think they cost very much.

We live in Seattle and found a wii at Fred Meyers(kroger chain) My husband hooked it up to see what the hype was all about(kids are at grandmas), and we have had it for 2 hours and he's still playing and keeps telling me to come play. He says he LOVES it and he knows our kids will too. Hope this helps you all.

I just wanted to edit my review..I played the wii for a few hours lastnight and I am so sore! You really get a workout with this game. I am excited that my kids will stay active. Games I played, baseball, bowling and tennis. FUN! FUN! FUN!

We have the Wii, Xbox 360 and a PS2 that I bought used today at Gamestop for $59.99. Ours got broke and my 14 yr old loves the PS2. Our XBOX 360 is played non stop, the Wii collects dust. DH loves Xbox live and my girls go back and forth on the game systems. The graphics on the XBOX & Playstation are a lot better. BUT, I highly recommend the Wii for your kids age group.

Someone asked what do you get for $249.99, you get the console, the nunchuk and the Wii remote, the nunchuk and remote are the controllers. I would also recommend buying Wii Play because It comes with an extra remote and a game and only costs $40, whereas the remote alone costs $30. You should also buy a second nunchuk, which is about $20. This is enough to get your family started. There are several sports games to play on the Wii sports and Wii play that everyone will love playing. It is also great starter games to learn how to work the remote and nunchuk.

I finally got a PS2 about a few month ago. It went down to $130. So I figure its time to get a new system, as I have and my son has been using the PS1.
When looking into buying a new system I look at the prices of the games. As I dont want to spend $50 per game, I went and got the PS2 system because the games were in my price range. There's alot of PS2 games to choose from. My son loves to play Guitar Hero 2.

So thats my tip, when thinking about a certain system, check out the prices of the games. Oh and Dance Dance Revolution is from PS2. (I love playing that game! Its great exercise)

We bought the kids a Wii back in September for Christmas. They are still hard to find in this area, but I lucked out. I found one on Craigslist for $50 less than the store.

I would highly recommend it! My dh and I have been playing it at night for awhile and it is a lot of fun!

WE love the the Wii too. It is a lot of fun and has some great games. I would love to get the Cars and Spongebob games for my kiddos. Good luck finding one. They are a rare find around here, so if you see it, I would grab it. We had our BIL pick it up at Best Buy when they had the grand opening of his new store, otherwise, we would not have it.
