That's probably a combination of several things. #1 - Your nose is simply more sensitive to certain smells right now. #2 - The cold medicines you might be taking can alter your perception of taste and smell. #3 - You may have a bacterial infection in your sinuses which can not only alter how you perceive smells and tastes, but can give you bad breath, too. #4 - Your saliva may be changing - either thicker or dryer - which is promoting bacterial growth.
Floss.
Mouthwash.
Change your toothbrush.
Use a saline rinse in your sinuses.
Let it pass.
