Tis' the Season of buying toys and gadgets that use batteries!!

Does it matter to you what batteries you use??? Do you have a brand that you Prefer?? Energizer, Duracell, Rayovac, or Dollar Store cheapies??

I prefer Energizer rechargeables, but when buying something for another that needs batteries I just get regular Energizer.

We use the rechargable for our digital camera. For everything else we use the regular energizers. We tried the cheap ones, but you do get what you pay for. They didnt last 1/2 as long as the good name brand ones.

Despite the tests they use in advertising, I don't find Duracells better at all. I always find my regular Energizers outlast my Duracells. And the cheapie ones, including Ray-o-vac and Radio Shack don't last much at all. Target will have Energizers on sale soon, I'm sure, and I will stock up!!!

We use rechargables for alot of things and whatever is cheaper out of the major brands otherwise. I don't usually buy off brand batteries.

my experience with dollar general batteries: The day i was scheduled to have my labor induced, i bought DG batteries for one of the light up toys you stick in the crib. i turned on the toy for a few seconds to make sure it worked, then turned it off. a few days later, i turn it on again for the baby, but the batteries were dead!

the batteries had only cost $1, so i wasn't really mad, but i was annoyed.

We just started using Energizer rechargeable about 2 months ago and I LOVE them!

On a side note...my Dad got hearings aids about 6 months ago and the Dr recommended the CVS battery (the tiny ones) but said it is ALL he will recommend b/c even with reg size, they last longer than Duracell, and have a better 'fit' (compare the tops, they really are different) in electronics, thus getting the most out of your battery.
