My three boys (11, 8 and 8) all have them. There is a code for each one, you go online and build rooms and buy things for them. There are games to play. My kids love them!

My son has waaaay too many Webkinz! He's very into them and his whole 4th grade class is just crazy over them!

You buy the stuffed toy and then use the code on the tag to register the pet online at Webkinz.com. Your child can play games, 'earn' money, set up rooms in a 'house' etc The website is easy for kids to navigate.

WE love Webkinz!!! I play the games all day long and earn $$ for the kids to play with. The games are FUN and not just for kids. Dh caught me playing and said "UM isn't that for children??" I was like, 'if you think so, try and play a game!' LOL!!

Adding to what the others have already told you, my daughter (5 in 3 weeks) loves them. My husband plays games and helps her earn extra money.

I just bought one for my DD last week for her bday, she's 9 and it's her first one, she LOVES it! Be sure to keep the tag with the code in a safe place, my DD has already registered, but has also already misplaced her tag!
You can't find them at Target or Walmart type places, I found hers at JCPenney's.
