I don't really want to replace my leather couch until the kids are a little older. But it has been peed on (from a child falling asleep who is potty trained, except during sleeping), thrown up on ('nuf said), drink spilled, etc. It actually smells a bit musty, and Im afraid that perhaps there is a mold that I don't see. After each incident, I wiped it all down: both the leather and the fabric under the cushions that was affected. I then would spray it with Fabreze or even Lysol or Oust. I've also used a steam cleaner, and saw/smelled no difference.
Due to our allergies, and diva's repeated breathing issues, I really would like to find something that would kill mildew, but not be toxic in itself, which Lysol seems to be - that smell is strong and makes even me ill.
Any ideas?
