I find Sensodyne decidedly more costly than Aquafresh's sensitive toothpaste. However, my hygienist says that Sensodyne has different ingredients and has proven more effective.

What is your experience?

Have you ever tried Pronamel? I have a lot of recession/exposed roots (to the point I have to have plastic surgery done on a few areas). It's supposed to prevent further erosion. I'm trying it, but not sure if it works.

I have used both toothpastes and have found that Auqafresh works just as well as sensydine for me. I have very sensitive teeth and have had no problems using the Auqafresh.... it is so much cheaper too!

I have sensitive teeth and I use whatever one is cheapest at the time. I like the Crest best, but I have Aquafresh now and have no problems.

Sometimes my front teeth are sensitive and then I use Sensodyne, it works the best for me and it was what my dentist gave me as a sample alot of years ago. I have tried other brands, but I like that one.

Aqualfresh for me -- but I'm going to see if Tom's has one next time.

I do use the Sensodyne. It does cost a little more, but it is worth it to me because it works well on my teeth.

One more thing that my dentist told me is that no matter what you use, you need to use it regularly for it to work properly. The effect is cumulative. The dentist told me it did not matter what brand I used.

I use Pronamel. It's not cheap, but it works. The acid from the Mountain Dew addiction I had caused a lot of wear on my teeth.

dh has sensitive teeth and I get crest prohealth for him. he really likes it. I don't like the gritty feeling out it but it works well.
