I am not familiar with these at all, he wants one and I want to surprise him that's why i need to ask someone else who owns one. Is it worth the price? where is the best place to buy one? should I buy the one that comes with a pack? should I get him a used one? Thanks for any help!!

My husband owns a video game store and I would not recommend a PSP for a 9yr old. The Nintendo DS is a much better choice if he does not have one. My 10yr old had one and he ended up getting a ds instead and likes it much better. I hope this helps.
