My aged cat has gotten really particular about her food. Canned food is too messy for her (and me!) and dry food is too hard to chew. She seems to like the consistency of soft cat treats. Does anyone know of a brand of cat food that's soft but doesn't have the gravy-like slop of the canned food?

Sorry I probably won't be much help on this as my cat doesn't like canned food. I was going to mention the cat treats. Wait a minute what about the moist food that they make in the small bags, they might not have as much gravy in them?

We always liked Fancy Feast. We avoided the beef one because it gave our kitties upset tummies. We had persians, so needed to keep their bibs clean. I put their food on a cheap vinyl placemat. It's just harder when they are older, and it's so important to keep their teeth cleaned by the vet.

Careful with treats too often, along with things like Tender Vittles, which seem to have what you need. It's OK once in awhile, but due to the high amount of ash and sodium, along with the protein, are hard on the older kidneys. I always had dry down for my cats to munch, but fed the wet twice a day.

Do they still make Tender Vittles? I couldn't find it in my grocery store. THat's the kind of thing I'm looking for.
