If it is built in that might be a different story. Ours is just the one that you attatch to the window and plug into the car.

We don't have a Garmin but we do have a TomTom and its always worked great for us, I don't think they do quite as much as a Garmin but still a great GPS, it works great going on travels especially in big cities like when you want to eat, etc...you can type in the type of food you want, even the resturant name & it tells you the nearest even if its farther up the road, it also helped us find the exit to the ST. Louis Arch when we were coming home from Illinois last week...anyway they are nice to have!

My MDX has a built in one, and I love it ( I do need to get it updated since it's about 4 years old now), and DH got the Garmin Nuvi 660 last year for his car, and he loved it. Just yesterday he traded his car in and got a GS300 which has a built in GPS, so the GARMIN he'll use on his trips when he has to get a rental car.
