We have a large steam vac for cleaning carpet but I would like one that I can do spot cleaning. We don't wear shoes in our house but my kids are constantly spilling stuff on our cream colored carpet (I so want hardwood floors).. Does anyone here have any recommendations on a good spot cleaner? I'm trying to avoid using a lot of chemicals but I'm also tired of our polka dotted carpet. Thanks!

Spot Shot works great for me. I love it! My Mom turned me onto it a few years ago. You can get it at places like Target, WalMart, larger grocery stores, Lowes, Home Depot etc

I got a Bissell Little Green Machine. It works great!!

I am hoping to find ideas here too. I too have cream carpet and kids. I have tried spot shot and dawn dish soap it looked clean till it dried than the spots reappeared.
