Does anyone have it? I wash my floor on my hands and knees. My back really can't take it anymore. Not to mention I never had knee pain before and now they are really starting to bother me. I was thinking about getting the H2O mop.
Right now I wash my floor on my hands and knees every Monday and sometimes on Friday. Then every night I sweep and then go over my floor with a swiffer. I think a steam mop would really benefit me. No more hand washing, no more swiffer and no more chemicals.

Would really appreciate any advice on the mop or any others. TIA

Two women I know swear by their steam mop. Not sure what brand they have, but they LOVE it! I have been thinking about checking them out myself.

I have one of those yellow steam floor cleaners. I'm sure it disinfects the floor, but I really don't see that it cleans my grout, so I question its cleaning ability. Plus, although I have soft water, I still see corrosion in it!

A lot of times, I just find the old fashion sponge mop with a scrubber on it is what I end up going back to - that and vinegar - and just replace it fairly frequently.

Hands and knees? You cwazy wabbit! I gave that one up looooong ago. I'm too old for that! Betcha my kids would love to do it, though....hmmmmm.

I also just use a regular mop...or my hands and knees with rags and a sponge. I just the feel the floor gets a lot cleaner that way. I use one of those gardening knee pads, it really helps with the hard floor + knees combo!

I LOVE my Shark Steam Mop!!!!! I have hardwood floors and this thing works amazingly well on them. I love that I don't have to use nasty chemical cleaners to mop my floor. I love that the pads can be thrown in the washing machine over and over again. I love that it takes me literally 5 minutes to mop my whole main floor. I love that my kids (even my 2 1/2 year old) beg to do it for me. The only thing we have to be careful of is that the floor is very slippery when it has just been mopped so if my boys are running around in socks they go flying. But that only lasts for about a day.

Ok so this is my "scoop" on the steam mops.

My mom-in-law bought a Shark (about $80) and really likes it. I tried it, liked it & decided that when I saved the $$, I'd buy one. It cleans well and doesn't use chemicals. I told my mom about it WHILE I was watching an infomercial of the Bissell Steam Mop. Mom decide to go with the Bissell. She ordered it off of HSN (they sell them at Meijer, too). I like it better than the Shark! It is much sturdier and just looks better! Comes with the washable pads and doesn't cost anymore than the Shark. So I decided to buy that one instead. In the meantime, I found out that Lysol makes a steam mop. So I went to Linens n Things and bought one for about $30 with my coupon. It also has washable pads. It has a separate section for Lysol cleaner (which to me defeats the purpose of using a steamer!) It cleans well BUT the pads are cheap and get bunched up under the head of it. So annoying. ANd the handle tends to bow on me. If you have a lot of hard flooring to clean, this is not the mop for you. So would I buy it again? NO.

Shark: Does what it's supposed to but handle isn't as sturdy as I think it should be.

H20 Mop: read nothing but BAD reveiws about it so never even tried it.

Lysol Mop: You get what you pay for.

Bissell Mop: Made very well, pads are thick and washable, looks nice, cleans excellent... Save your money and buy the Bissell!
