I was thinking of buying some tooth tunes for my boys. They tend to brush way too fast, so I thought this would be good for them. Any imput? Where do you buy them? I found the website, but would rather not pay shipping.

Well I know you'll be surprised, but CVS has them But since I know you don't have CVS, I think target and almost all the major stores like walmart would have them. They're pretty common.

My son is 3 and I got him a Thomas The Train Toothbrush off eBay. I think I paid $5.00 and that included shipping. He loves it and he's almost worn it out. I'm going to have to get him another one.

I have a mixed reaction to them. I got one for my 8 year old and he does use it....however, I think he's figured out that if he jsut stands there with the tooth brush pushed down, it will play the music and he doesn't brush....we're usually in the next room listening! So it worked for a while! Also the brush itself is of much lesser quality than a regular tooth brush. Either that or my son brushes so hard that it wears it out quicker....not sure if that's a bad thing....he could use it! Anyway, that's my incoherant 2 cents

I got my boys each one for Christmas. I think that they are junk. I also thought that you had to push down very hard for the tunes to turn on. They did wear out quickly and I am not sure if you can replace the batteries in them or not. I just tossed them once they died. I just got them regular automatic toothbrushes and got a cheap egg timer so that they knew they had to continue to brush until the timer went off. I think that when these ones die we will go back to the manual toothbrushes. My kids sometimes think that they dont have to move the toothbrush around since it already moves on it's own.
I got ours at Walmart.

Tooth tunes - good idea, horrible execution.

In order to 'hear' the music you have to press the head to your teeth. My experience is you have to brush way too hard. And you don't really hear the music. It is more like you sense it through your teeth and the bones in your head. Because of that, as soon as you stop pressing, the music stops. That makes it very difficult to move the brush around and actually brush.

Save your money.

I bought 3 of these for my nephews for Christmas last year. One of the three worked, and the working one lasted about a day. It is now a family joke, as in..."remember those cheap toothbrushes auntie bought us?"

The toothbrush I got you press a button and the music plays for 2 minutes. It must be quite different than toothtunes

I bought ours at Walmart (Star Wars, of course). It does help them slow down their brushing.
