Anyone heard of or tried these jeans before?? They say that they are double knee-the knee does feel thicker than the rest of the jeans. We had to go out and buy the boys some more jeans because it the past two weeks they have blown out the knees in five pairs of pants. Normally it would be ok since it is the middle of May, but we have had such crappy cold and wet weather here that they will be in pants for another two weeks at least. I was able to get their pants on 50% off, so that helped alot. Just wondering if anyone had any experience with these jeans. TIA!

Not exactly pertinent but hopefully, humorous...

I had Sears Toughskins in the 70's! The girls jeans came in colors. I had jeans in red, purple, and green in heavy denim material! I was stylin'...

Sorry, I am not helping either, but am DYING at this memory!! We had them back then, too!! With feathered hair!!

But they were always considered really good, strong jeans. I think that reputation remains today! Good luck! Also, for future, Sears sells Lands End and I have had GREAT luck with their pants lasting FOREVER!! DS2 love them too!

My little brother used to get that brand because they came in "husky" sizes.

On a side note, if you're having trouble with jeans wearing out, Sears KidVantage program lets you trade in a worn out pair of jeans for a BRAND NEW pair in the same size if you keep the receipt. Doesn't matter the brand - as long as it was purchased from Sears. Here are the details:

I am sure that I wore Toughskins as a kid too.
Thanks Kim! I did sign up for KidsAdvantage while I was there. Only thing I didnt like is I asked the kid (salesperson-looked like a high schooler) about what if I brought them back and the store did not have the same size or brand, he said I had to return them for exactly the same thing. Is this true?? I guess it may work out ok, I would probably have a decent stock pile for ds3. But what if it is not exactly the same thing-what if they have the same name brand but nothing left in that size??? Plus do I have to take them back to the same store?? My MIL has a Sears where she lives and I know she would be willing to return them for me. I guess I will worry about it when and if they need returned.
