Do any of you use Veet hair removal? I was wondering if you had to have the "bladeless razor" or if you can use something else. CVS has it on sale. The kit with the bladeless razor is 6.99 on sale. Just the gel by itself is on sale for 2.99. I would rather just buy the gel but if I have to buy the kit I will. I was jsut wondering what you used.

I've only used the one with the bladeless razor thing, because it was the first hair removal thing that actually worked on my hairy Italian legs. Nair and the rest couldn't touch them. I picked up a bunch of the "kits" when it was BOGO at Rite Aid. I really love the stuff!

I break out from so many things! I tried Nair, and it was OUCH all the way. Does Veet sting?

It doesn't bother me in the least, but I don't have particularly sensitive skin. I know for me, the Nair (I tried a couple "types" of it) just sat there and reeked really bad, and no hair came off. The Veet doesn't smell that great, but it does work in the 3 minutes it says, and the hair comes right off!

I liked it when it first came out but the last time I bought it I got chemical burns. It did work unlike nair which just left my hair on my legs.

I LOVE Veet! Target had a two pack special with blade thingy and I picked it up to try it. I had tried Nair in the past with no luck, so I was sceptical. I needed something other than traditional shaving, which causes major skin irritation. Like the other ladies said, it does work in the 3 minutes and it doesn't smell that bad. I haven't had any kind of burn or skin irritation, just smooth as a baby's butt legs! :-) I would think you could use something with a flat edge to mimick the razor, which is just two rubber strips.

Avon had something like this, I think-but not positive, before veet. It seemed like any hard plastic surface would work. Don't take my word for it though, I have never tried it. Never tried the veet, I mean. I have tried the avon stuff.I plan to buy some Veet the next time I go to the store.
I have a friend who would use nair, and take it off with an actual razor. I gotta imagine that would make me break out.
