I was going to say love, but how many of us can LOVE an iron. I need a new iron and I don't want to spend the money on another piece of junk. I have had a Rowenta in the past, and I didn't think it was worth the extra money, so we went with a cheaper one this time which lasted about a year before it died. I don't care how much it is, I just want one that does a good job.

TIA!

I long ago gave up carrying an iron when we travel. They are just too heavy, even the travel ones. Well, sure enough, on one trip we needed an iron and the hotel didn't have any to loan out. I ran to Target and got the cheapest iron I could find. I ended up getting a $10 Sunbeam steam iron. It is terrific! I don't iron much but when I do iron I usually need it for heavy cotton fabrics - material that takes a lot of heat to remove wrinkles. My previous, much more expensive iron simply didn't get hot enough so I got rid of it.

I don't iron anymore. I steam only. However, I've yet to find a decent steamer. I refuse to buy one of the huge expensive ones, but I've found the Rowenta or Sunbeam steamer to be the best (the handheld one). The only problem is that they are around $40 and usually go bad within a year - and I've had a number of them. And I have a water softener.

Don't buy the one you see at the mall. Junk...made that mistake - what a hassle, and you have to add salt.
