Everybody has pots and pans in the kitchen.

Everybody has one or two pans they just love

and

One pan that is really annoying to cook with.

What are your favorite pots and pans?

I would have to say my T-fal. My grandma got me a whole set the year I graduated from high school and I still have it and it still works great.

I have the Towncraft stainless steel which I love. For nonstick cooking, I have a Pampered Chef professional grade non-stick pan that works well. I don't care for the pancake griddle that came with my Towncraft set; everything sticks even when you spray/coat it.

I've had a set of t-fal for 17yrs, still looks new. I bought a set of t-fal at a yard sale about 6yrs ago, new for $7. I have one pan that I've had for over 30yrs just from a cheap set but I use it when I make candy. Of all of the pans I have that's the only one I get good results with.

For years I've been using this stainless set from Macy's - it's their brand, but I can't remember what it's called. It was good, except that it did get dented and it wasn't non-stick.

So, I went by reviews I read on the web, along with good reviews from Consumer and bought a set of Cook's Essentials awhile back - it was from QVC or HSN. Garbage. I also got their bakeware and it rusted by the second dishwashing (sorry, but I don't have time or energy to wash my pans by hand). They wouldn't help me w/the product, so they lost a good customer.

I think I recently bought my first Calphalon pieces, but the reviews on Amazon were spotty.

Sigh.

My favorite is Sears' Kenmore 10 pc. Nonstick Stainless Steel Cookware Set - Model 5706 at Sears.com. I got this for $80 in sale and it's worth every penny.

I've had Calphalon and am so disappointed with them - I don't use them at all these days. It was having so many scratches even though I hand washed them and used wooden/silicone spatulas.

I also have Macy's own brand of stainless steel set - but I prefer non-stick.
