Like the ones they sale on T.V or in the stores. what brands do you use, and do you like it does it cover well how much do they cost. I would like to buy some because my foundation now does not cover on the bridge of my nose not sure if its because of freckles or something my skin is not dry there but after i do my makeup it looks like crap there all dried up. I use almay.

I have been wearing Bare Escentuals for several years now. I love it. I am fair skinned with a few freckles and I think it covers very good. It is $25 but it lasted me about 3 months sometimes longer when I worked everyday. Now that I don't work everyday it lasts a lot longer. The good thing about it is (I don't ever sleep in makeup) but you can sleep in it. I have had a lot of people think I don't wear foundation because it looks very natural.

I tried the new Mary Kay it is quite a bit cheaper but I am not sure if I didn't get the right color or I just don't like it. The person selling it gave me a fair light and I usually wear a light beige and I tried to tell her and she was very instant that that wasn't the right color for me and wouldn't let me get the darker color. Kinda made me mad but I mixed it with my Bare Escentuals and like it just fine. I might give it another try if the sale lady will let me get the color I want because the price is better.

Good luck!

I love Bare Minerals. I have super sensitive skin and couldn't wear makeup because I would break out terribly. My mom had the Bare Minerals and so I tried it. I was hooked. My skin doesn't break out at all from it, I can sweat and it still stays on, I don't feel like I'm wearing makeup, I can do my whole face in 5 minutes. If you're interested in trying it, I would suggest seeing if you can find a store that carries it, Sephora is one. Go in and let them do a make under as they call it so you can see how it feels to you and find out what shade works best. Don't buy anything there though unless they're having a super sale. The starter kit is $75. You can get it on Ebay, brand new still sealed, usually for about half. I used to buy my makeup only from the Bare Escentuals store and now I only buy it on Ebay. I have picked up stuff there for as much as 85% off the retail price. You just have to look around and be patient. Look for individuals selling instead of Ebay stores. I bought a lot of 20 BE products that would go for $13 at a minimum each for $2.50 each. Good luck.

I just ordered a whole line of the MK stuff tonight, so it was funny that this thread was the first I came upon when I logged on!! MK guarantees their products, so I feel confident that if I do happen to think something is too light or too dark, they will make it right for me! I've had to do this with them before..and they are one of the easiest companies I know to work with on this sort of thing!

I use the Loreal mineral makeup. I like it okay but it's nothing extra. I would like to try the Sheer Cover that I've seen on TV. Leeza Gibbons is the spokesperson, also Melissa Gilbert.

I was so disappointed in the Bare Minerals. I also have very sensitive skin that breaks out from EVERYTHING. I had seen so much on tv about Bare Minerals and then they have a shop at Mall of America. I bought a ton of it (I guess that was my first mistake...should've started small) and it broke my face out instantly. I couldn't believe it...after all of the commercials and such that say you can sleep in it and so on. I stopped using it and waited for my skin to clear. After it cleared I thought I would try it again as I just couldn't believe it would break my skin out like that. Same thing happened again. So unfortunately for me, it does something to my skin. I loved how it looked and and how it felt. Wish it had worked for me. Haven't tried any other brands since but would like too. I actually know a dermatologist and I told her about the effect the Bare Minerals had on my skin. She was very surprised and said that was unusual. I guess I have odd skin!!!

Absolutely. And, they also can hook you up with a local person that sells it. I personally like the ordering on line, though...less hassle! LOL

Sarah, did you use the rever-upper lotion? I have really sensitive skin and I can't use it. I don't use any of the Bare Mineral lotions, just the powders. I've used B.M. since it was first introduced in the mid 1970's. I love it. I'm allergic to everything so it is the only thing I can use.

DO start with the $60 starter kit. It is far more expensive to get all that stuff separately. The starter kit is an excellent idea.
