I've had mine for 3 yrs and 3 mos. Its a top load machine. Last week it started having trouble spinning. I did a quick research online and found that millions of people have had the same problem, most after 3 yrs of use. A tech came out and he is replacing 6 different parts.

I will never buy another Maytag product again. We bought a dishwasher that lasted four years, and there was always something going wrong with it. My sister and sister-in-law had the same dishwashers and had the same problems. We also have a Maytag air conditioner and it sounds like you're sitting next to an idiling 18-wheeler.

Never again.

Thank you for this info...I'd really wanted one! But then I found other ones that seemed better. Consumer Reports isn't fond of Maytag.

Do you have the dryer? I'd like to find out how people like the one that dries clothes that are hanging...I thought that was in the same line.

Can dark get darker?

I have the Maytag Neptune dryer but its the regular one, not the one you are talking about. Dryer has been fine so far. I also have the Maytag Gemini stove with two ovens, its about 6 years old and its been great.

my sister has maytag neptune washer and dryer set the ones you have her dryer has been fine her washer is a piece of crap you have to slam the lid down after its done filling up in order to get it to continue the cycle she even got a new one after the first time it went out. she hates it and is giving up and buying a new washer. also her dishwasher has been replaced 3 times already and she will not let them put in another one either.

we use consumer reports as well and noticed that they don't care for maytag either.
