I know a while back there was some discussion about beds on here, but I am seriously considering getting a sleep number bed, and I want to know your opinions of this. I see great reviews on their website, but on Amazon, I saw some pretty bad ones. Can you help me please if you own one of these? Thanks!!!

I don't have one, but my parents have one and love it. My sister and her DH love theirs and my brother and his wife love theirs. My sister is very frugal so I was surprised they spent the money on it - but apparently it was $ well spent.

Hi...

We bought one 6 years ago after hearing how great they were from my brother and my parents. I LOVE it.

And also, do you know which kind? The 5000, 7000, 9000, etc..

We've had one for several years and are very happy with it. Ours is the most popular model - the 5000 I think. My parents have had two and talked my grandparents into buying one as well.

Yep. We bought one about 9 years ago (wow, that long????) when I was preggo and we had a waterbed, which I swore I wouldn't sleep in fully in bloom.

We love our Sleep # bed. Very happy w/it.

All I can say is don't go cheap. We got one several years ago and did not get the one where you can put in the actual number, our controls just pump up or let out air, you don't have a number on it. We couldn't afford both a king size and the number thing and we decided on the larger bed. We hate our bed. It's not comfortable for either of us, when I have mine where I like it and hubbie gets into bed it changes my side because of the pressure coming from his side. I REALLY want a temperpedic, SIL has one and I've layed in it & LOVE it! I did just see in the Sunday paper that now there's a sleep number bed with memory foam topper.
Anyway, I'm sure a more top of the line sleep number would be okay, but I do hate mine.

I don't recall, but it was the middle of the road one. It has duals controls (with the number setting) and a pillow top.
