Yep, we are Laker Fans! Both kids have Kobe Bryant jerseys and we watch all the playoff games on tv. We don't watch all the league games....maybe 1/4 of them though.
We also just bought my son a $300+ portable basketball hoop through Craigslist for $120! Both my hubby and my sister play basketball all year long, so this hoop will get lots of use from the two of them plus my son. My 2 yo DD has no interest in basketball, but she likes to sit in her "monkey" beach chair and cheer on the side with me while eating Skittles  .
