I have a copy of this workbook. It is recommended for ages 6 - 12 and is an interactive workbook.

Includes things such as:

- How to detect and avoid "unsafe" situations
- What to do if approached by a dangerous person
- How to escape at the point of an attack
- Where and who to run to for help
- How to stay safe when home alone
- How to avoid dangerous people on the internet

I have NOT begun it with my 6 year old yet. I have looked through it, and as sad as it makes me to even THINK about having to warn my child of the world, I DO believe it is a VERY good tool. I plan to start this next semester with her.

I'd like to wait until she's 8, since she doesn't attend public school, so she's ALWAYS with me, but just in case *sigh*

I know it isn't a fun thing to think of but we must protect our children as best we can and this is one way of opening up that discussion and reinforcing skills for our kids.

I'm not sure how to give it away, so maybe I'll just do a straight drawing from everyone who tells what their kids are going to be for Halloween?

I'll let folks enter until I log on in the morning. I THOUGHT I had gotten 2 extras, so maybe I'll have another one after I look around.

13 yr old as Professor McGonagall (Harry Potter)

The other 2 kids are adults and on their own now, so I'm not sure if they're dressing up LMAO!

I'd really like this book too. Always looking for good ways to teach my kids Stranger Danger and safety. They are age 4.5 and 2.5.

We were a family of Indiana Joneses.

My son's costume was complete with a whip that I found at a thrift store, toy guns, and foam machete and adventure hat. My DD had a compass, a small toy gun and holster...she wouldn't wear the hat though . Even DH and I dressed up in thrift store finds.

Then my son came home after trick or treating and took off his shirt and said he was "Indiana Bruce Lee Jones" and did a high kick . Too funny!

That's GREAT! Honestly, this workbook is nowhere near appropriate for your lil' ones ages. I'm not 'certain' even about starting it with Hayvon after she turns 7,, I sorta want to wait until she's 8. I'll keep my eyes open for preschooler level type stuff though and let you know if I find any

Zoonana, please PM me your addy

If you haven't drawn a name yet I would like to enter. My daughter was a bat this year.

Hi Nanoid, I'm sorry, I've already promised this one. When I find the other copy, I'll post a new thread.
