When I was in jr high I was a complete and total nerd. In PE class (the trauma land of adolescent nerds), we were doing tumbling on a trampoline. I had this.. .I was super good at trampoline. So, of course, not usually being the center of positive attention I started showing off doing a bunch of flips. Well on one flip I saw something that distracted me. I landed too close to the edge and fell. I had really long hair and it got stuck in the springs so that when I landed, my hair (stuck in the springs) made me land with my butt suspended about a foot from the ground. So in front of everyone I was hanging by my hair from the trampoline, with my butt a foot above the ground, as the center of attention in a gym class. I learned the meaning of the word mortified that day!

Embarassing moment number one: My friend's friend was killed in a car accident and I was trying to support her the best I could so I went with her to a party to honor his memory, Well a few days before I was in a pretty bad car accident where we were t-boned and I got the most impact so I had trouble walking and I stupidly ran across a four lane busy street. So by the time the party was half over I couldnt really stand up. So my friend had this guy hold me up and him and i ended up hitting it off....if you get my drift and he "kidnapped" me. I was pretty drunk and I was up allll night we didnt leave until 8 am and uhh we went back to his house and stuff happened and in the middle of the stuff I look at him and was like your name is aaron right? Thankfully that was his name.... I was really embrassed!

Trust me I was teased for a long time. He would say hi my name is aaron every time I talked to or saw him. His friends and my friend knew about it too. It was a big joke with them.

This may seem unreal but I assure you this happened and I have had to retell this story to many times.

I was living in CA when my dh was in the Marine Corps. We were just dating at the time, but my best friend and I moved out to CA for the adventure. Well being right out of college and having little to no money we were shopping at yard sales to furnish our new pad.

One Saturday with a close guy friend I went out yard saleing. My best friend needed a bedroom set for her bedroom. We drove down this side street that had a garage door wide open and a large entertainment center positioned right in the door way. Tell tale signs of a yard sale.

My close guy friend was very petite(he'd die if he heard me say that) and had a very eccentric style. He loved old vintage 70's style clothes. Being so small he could wear and mostly could only find old womans clothes. Anyway we entered the garage and started to rifle through boxes and look through bins. My friend was over at a rack trying on some jackets and sweaters right out of 1974.

When all of the sudden a woman opens the door going into the house and asked "What are you guys doing" I asked "are you having a yard sale?" and she said "NO" "OMG"

She then when on to tell me that her mother had just passed away and she was staying at her mothers house when the funeral was happening (that day).

I looked over and yes my friend is wearing one of these sweaters that belonged to the woman that had just passed away. The daughter was stunned and so was I. After the initial shock was over she asked what specifically were we looking for. I told her and told her to call me when she was going to clean out and apologized for this whole fiasco.

After fighting with her she finally had me take the stuff that day.(I wanted to come back but she was insisting to just take it now we actually had hit it off well) So I sat with the then grieving family in the family room while my friend struggled with the bedroom set in the bedroom. Banging around and making quite a fuss. The family was great and actually then had a sense of humor with it. Being from Boston my accent is strong so they were all pretty into me. I am sure they retell the story as I do. My face was never so red and I have never been so uncomfortable be circumstances before.

Tip to all, do not leave your garage door wide open on a sunny Saturday if your garage looks like it could be hosting a yard sale.

This is a fun topic. I have plenty of embarrassing moments. But one sticks in my mind. I was a kid(6 or 7) when my cousin Debbie was going to get married for the first time. I was the flower girl at her wedding along with my cousin Marcie. Anyway, I really needed to go to the bathroom before the wedding started...couldn't get momentum to go in the bathroom. Anyway, I walked outside of the bathroom and I don't know why but I peed through my panties and white pantyhouse. My mother came around the corner and asked what was wrong...told her I peed...I had a bad look on my face. She had to help me clean up before I started throwing flower petals in the wedding. I felt like a total retard. The marriage didn't last too long afterwards anyway...my cousin never stays married long. LOL!

When I was 16 I worked in a resturant/cafeteria steak house kinda place in one of our local malls. I was a "hostess" ~ basically taking plates, making sure everyone still had drinks, wiping off tables, getting condiments, etc.... Our "hostess station" was located at the back of the resturant while the restrooms were located at the front (*important note )

Sunday's were our busiest day after church let out. One Sunday I wasn't feeling to well, and mid-shift felt like I was gonna be sick ~ so I was trying to get to the restroom. I had decided not to go through the dining room "just in case" but, instead, took a short cut throught the serving line. I didn't make it in the slightest and "tossed" everything in front of the customers waiting for their food Needless to say it didn't make for appetizing sales that afternoon. Not that puking on the patrons wasn't embarrassing enough - I needed to make it back through the resturant to get my things, and get out. It was enough to earn me an interesting nickname, and a write-up about coming to work sick.

I honestly have never been so embarrassed in my life!
