Wave Polish Noodles and Cabbage

1/4 c butter
1/2 c yellow onion, peeled and chopped
4 c cabbage, chopped
1 tsp caraway seed (or a tsp cumin of ya dont like/have caraway)
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1 (8oz) pkg egg noodles
1/2 c sour cream

Melt butter and saute onion til transparent.
Add cabbage,saute 5 min,til tender but still crisp.
Stir in caraway seeds, salt and pepper.
Cook noodles as directed on box,don't overcook,drain well.
Stir noodles into cabbage and add sour cream.
Cook 5 min longer, stir often.


Cheap quick easy and VERY good!!

Use as a side w/kelbasa or just thin slice and it too for a main.

Something similar my does is cook cabbage and mushrooms together on a skillet; she then adds macaroni bow ties to it. Its quite delicious. You can also add sausage to it or bacon. We use this mixture in perogies as well. Quick and simple and so delicious
