For my dd's party I thought of having apples and caramel dip since it's fall and all. But how do I keep the apples from turning brown?

Pour any kind of lemon-lime soda over them...soak for a minute or two, and then drain! It works, and it doesn't effect the taste of your apples!

Do you think I could cut them up the night before and leave them in the soda or take them out? Or is it best just to do it the morning of the party?

I would wait and do it the morning or day of the party as over night they may get mushy.

You can also just use lemon juice (I usually mix it with water & put the apples in while I'm cutting them up and then drain them afterwards). If you do want to cut them up the night before, there's a product you can buy called Fruit Fresh which you can sprinkle on them and it will do the same thing without making them soggy.

I cut up ds apples and take the peel off for him to take to school. I bought fruit fresh and it works great. You sprinkle some on the fruit and its suppose to last up to 6 hours if I remember right.

I accidently put it on my popcorn once too and it wasn't bad that way either.
(It comes in a seasoning type bottle and I found it in the baking isle.)
