Herbed Mozzarella Olives

1(6 oz. )can whole black olives pitted and drained
1 c. grape tomatoes,halved
4 oounces fresh mozzarella balls cut into pieces
1/2 c. chopped basil
2 T. olive oil
1 T. balsamic vinegar
4 cloves of garlic,peeled and thinly sliced
1/4 t. kosher salt
1/4 t. black pepper

toss olives,tomatoes,cheese and basil in large mixing bowl.Mix oil,vinegar,garlic,salt and pepper and toss with other ingredients.Marinate for at least 3 hours before serving.

Serves 6

Do you think this would be okay made with green olives instead of black. I prefer green. Sounds yummy though!

I think it would work if you got the green big olives from the deli section but I think the jar ones would be to salty(maybe you could rinse them and they would be ok).I would leave out the salt too.I have had it with the purplish looking olives too.I forget the name of them.I got them in the deli section and it was good.

That's what those olives are that I tried besides the black olives.I preffered the Kalamata ones.Yummy!
