People who hate macaroni salad in my family-love this

2 c macaroni ,uncooked
3 hard-cooked eggs, chopped
1/4 red onion, chopped
2 Tbs dill pickle relish
2 c mayo
3 Tbs mustard
1/2 c sugar
2 1/4 tsp white vinegar
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 tsp celery seed
handful of grated carrot

Directions:


Make the wet mix the night before and let sit overnight in the fridge:

next day cook and chop eggs and add to mix.

boil noodles 8 minues..drain and add to sauce.

Yummy-I am the ONLY person who make mac salad in my family.

1/2 CUP of sugar?? For real? I have everything else mixed and that 1/2 cup looks like an awful lot. Just double checking before I add it in. Thanks!

We have an amish restaurant around here that my dh always thought made the mother of all mac salad......

well,I stockpile......and had 4 jars of mayo I needed to use up.....so I made about 10 diff batches of mac salad "juice".....I ended up with a mix of 3 diff recipes and this everyone thinks is perfection......

the original recipe that had sugar in it actually called for 3/4......which would've been too much.

This is for tomorrow though right???

You just wanna give it a good "rest"time........if you eat it too soon the sugar can be grainy......

but honestly....let it sit and this is a BRILLIANT mac salad

I prepared the "sauce" already - used just slightly less than 1/2 cup... i was a little frightened. :-) Its for tomorrows dinner - cant wait to try it!! Ive never been a fan of homemade mac salad... so Im hoping for the best.

I can't tell you how many times people have eaten this while exclaiming "I don't even like mac salad"....def let me know how it goes over
