Question What can I do with a spaghetti squash

that my kids will like??? I have made acorn squash before (in the microwave) with a little butter and brown sugar and my family thinks it is ok...never made the spaghetti squash before...any advice on making it kid/family friendly?

spaghetti Style
1 spaghetti squash, halved and seeded
1 pd ground beef
1/2 c diced green bell pepper
1/2 c diced red bell pepper
1/4 c diced red onion
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 (14.5)Italian-style diced tomatoes, drained
1/2 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp basil
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
2 1/4 c shredded sharp Cheddar cheese



Preheat oven to 375.
Put squash on a baking sheet, and bake 40 min,til tender. Remove from heat, cool, and shred pulp with a fork.
Reduce oven temp to 350.
Lightly grease a casserole dish.


Cook the ground beef,drain, and mix in the green pepper, red pepper, red onion, and garlic. Continue to cook and stir til vegetables are tender.

Mix the shredded squash and tomatoes into the skillet, and sprinkle w/oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.

Cook and stir til heated through.

Remove skillet from heat, and mix in 2 c cheese til melted.

Transfer to the casserole dish.

Bake 25 min,sprinkle with remaining cheese, and cont baking 5 min,til cheese is melted.
