There have been a few people that thought this sounded really gross but in my family if I stick some chocolate chips in it, it's good as gold! And I thought it actually turned out pretty good. The orginal recipe came from Taste of Home but I altered it a bit.

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup wheat flour
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups sugar
2 cups cooked or canned pumpkin
3/4 cup applesauce
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Combine flours, cinnamon, salt and baking soda. In a second bowl add your eggs, vanilla, sugar, pumpkin, applesauce, and oil in a large bowl mix until mositened. Fold in chocolate chips.

Pour into 2 greased bread pans and bake at 350 degrees for about an hour or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks.
