1 lb thin asparagus spears
1 Tbs e.v. olive oil
2 cloves crused garlic
1 oz shaved Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 c balsamic vinegar(or to taste)You def wanna use a good one for this also!

Preheat oven to 450.
Miarinate asparagus in olive oil, blasamic vinegar, and garlic for an hour.
Then arrange asparagus spears in a single layer on baking sheet. Spread Parmesan cheese over asparagus, and season with pepper.
Bake 12-15 min,til cheese is melted and asparagus is tender but crisp. Serve immediately.

This is one of the best ways to eat asparagus...just dont overcook it!

sounds super yummy and I love asparagus, but how do you overcook it? I seem to keep mine on the "el dente" side (the way I like it) and my dad always complains cause he likes his mushy!!!! What is the trick to not overcooking it or making it mushy like my dad likes it?

I'm pretty good at coming up with things on my own but I also do alot of changing up recipes I find...I love to find a great recipe then try to come up with a way to make it better....the original version of this recipe,I believe, didn't call for garlic...but I think it really helps make it
