I did this tonight, OH HOW YUMMY! I've only ever cooked it in the oven before. A coworker gave me 3 huge ones from her garden, so I cooked one tonight in the microwave. I cut it in half, scraped out the seeds. Then placed it open side down on a plate with a tiny bit of water. I covered it well with plastic wrap and cooked it for 10 minutes. It came out perfect! We ate it with butter and salt and it was delish, even my dd liked it! Course the others wouldn't try it, PITNs. LOL I still have 2 squashes left! Gonna do it again real soon!

I cook it exactly the same way as you do. It comes out perfect every time. I will combine the squash with tomato sauce and my family thinks it's even better than spaghetti with pasta noodles. They don't even care that it's healthier for them that way.
