these are actually wicked good!!!




1 c flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 egg
1/2 c milk
1 tsp melted butter
1 c chopped raw cauliflower
1 c shredded cheese
1/2 c finely chopped onion

Make a smooth batter w/1st 7 ingredients.
Mix in next 3 ingredients.
Refrigerate for an hour.
Drop by spoonfulls into hot oil and deep fry til brown and crispy.
Sprinkle w/salt immediately upon removing from oil.


*NOTE*
You can also bake em @ 425 about 12 min.
(my dd loves em w.ranch dip)

1 large baking potato
1 Tbs olive oil
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
salt n pepper


Preheat oven to 400
Cut potato into wedges. Mix olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, chili powder and onion powder together. Coat potatoes with oil/spice mixture and place on a baking sheet.Salt n pepper to taste
Bake for 45 min,turning once.

AWESOME!!!

1 pkg. ring macaroni
1 (15 oz.) can fruit cocktail
2 c. cool whip
1/2 pkg. lemon instant pudding

-Boil ring macaroni according to directions on box. Drain with cold water.
-Mix drained macaroni with other ingredients.
-Chill for a couple of hours before serving.

31 ears corn, husked and washed
1 lb. salt
Scant salt
3 Tbsp. sugar
1 pint half-n-half

-Cut corn off the cobs. Place in large roaster.
-Add the remaining ingredients and give it a stir.
-Bake 2 hrs. at 325 degrees. Stir occasionally.
-Cool roaster rapidly in ice water.
-Then place in freezer containers and freeze.

1 pkg. (12 oz.) fresh or frozen cranberries
1 can (20 oz.) crushed pineapple in its own juice, drained
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 Tbsp. lemon juice
3/4 pkg. (10.5 oz.) mini marshmallows
1 container (8 0z.) cool whip, thawed

-In a blender or food processor blend or process about 1 c. of cranberries until well chopped.
-Transfer berries to mixing bowl and repeat with remaining cranberries.
-Add pineapple, sugar and lemon juice to cranberries. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
-Add marshmallows and mix thoroughly.
-Cover and chill for 2 hours.
-Just before serving, stir in cool whip.

Serves 12

1 ½ c. Minute Rice Brown Rice
¾ lb. flank steak, cut into thin strips
1 med. Onion, sliced
1 each green and red pepper, sliced
1 ½ tsp. garlic powder
1 Tbsp. oil
½ c. water
¼ c. lime juice
1 tsp. hot pepper sauce
¼ tsp. black pepper

-Prepare rice according to directions on pkg., omitting margarine and salt.
-Cook and stir meat, vegetables and garlic powder in hot oil in large skillet until browned.
-Add remaining ingredients; bring to boil.
-Reduce hear and simmer 5 mins.
-Serve over rice.

6 potatoes
1 oz dry Italian dressing mix
2 Tbs oil
1 Tbs chopped fresh parsley
parm cheese(opt)

Preheat oven to 350.
Slice potatoes into fries.
Pat dry w/paper towels.
Drizzle with oil, tossing to coat evenly.
Lay in a single layer on a large baking sheet; sprinkle dry dressing mix and parsley over all.(and cheese if you want )
Bake 25 min, then flip over only once.
Increase temp to 450.
Cook 3 to 5 min longer,til potatoes are tender and start to brown.

2 c uncooked elbow macaroni
1/4 c margarine
1/4 c flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp ground mustard (or just a squirt of yellow mustard)
1/4 tsp worcestershire sauce
2 c milk
8 oz extra-sharp cheddar cheese, cubed
1/8 c Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
1 Tbs grated parmesan cheese

Heat oven to 350.

Cook pasta as directed.

Melt butter in a 3 saucepan over low heat,stir in flour, salt, pepper, mustard and Worcestershire sauce and cook over med-low heat, stirring constantly, til mixture is smooth and bubbly.
Remove from heat and stir in milk.
Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
Boil and stir for 1 minute.
Stir in cheese.
Cook, stirring occasionally,til cheese is melted.
Mix macaroni into cheese sauce and pour into ungreased 2 qt baking dish.
Mix together bread crumbs and parmesan cheese; sprinkle over macaroni and cheese.
Bake, uncovered, for 25 min,til bubbly.
