I miss Jillibean! I love her endless supply of sample links and I miss them. I hope we "see" her again soon.

Hmmm.. not sure. I don't think I have seen her lately though I'm not on here much recently. Maybe she's taking a break.

Thanks for thinking of me I have been taking a break, wondering if I want to continue to put in hours of work a day posting freebies/offers when 'others' (not any of long existing members ) come in after me on a daily basis and post numerous reposts then taking on other alias' and are responding to their own posts and basically pushing all the 'new freebies of the day' to page 3 and beyond. It does get old after a couple of weeks

I do luv MommySavers and all it has to offer! Everyone has been a great help and friendly since I first joined! I've made some very good friends here already! Let me think about it ok?

Hopefully, I didn't offend. If you know me, you know I'm a forward, straight-shootin' gal

I can see where you're coming from though!
Maybe PM them and talk it over. We HAVE missed you!!

Double post are bound to happen. You have to take it in stride. If I had $1 for every time someone reposted me, or I did it to someone else, we would all be on a beach in the Bahama's some where. You can't let things like that get to you. It's not a contest, and perhaps other people are just trying to be as helpful as the next. As for creating alias', we don't know for sure people do this on here.... it's a small world.

My thoughts exactly. With so many freebies being posted, there are bound to be reposts. It is too overwhelming to go through all the posted ones to check if one you have is already there. I'm afraid that could make some people leary about posting because others complain about reposts. I, personally, am thankful for everyone sharing the freebies in the first place...reposts or not.

I just had to say something in defense of whomever does occasionally repost...
I agree that this is no contest, and that occasional reposts do happen. I admit, I have been guilty of this myself, but caught it later on. I believe that one factor involved here is that, on occasion, even after using the search feature, there are posts for freebies for certain things under OTHER headings.

For example, if you search "baby wipes" you will find there are 152 posts. And some of these freebies (for baby wipes) are posted are under headings for another freebie from the same company. It takes a long time to search through all of those posts (even ones that come up with same company names) in order to find that specific post. I just think each freebie (even from the same company) should have it's own heading. Just my opinion.

I'm on another board that makes it possible to search entire links to freebies. (Cut and paste the link itself into the search feature.) Cuts way down on reposts. Wonder if that would work here?

I had not noticed about the freebies being pushed back.
But, I have noticed how many new people there are everyday. Some days there is a long list. I wondered how there could be that many new people everyday. So some of these are listing under other names.? The same person maybe has several names but we don't know that but we suspect it?

Actually, that is a theory that few people have. I don't think that is a real problem. I think that we have so many new members each day because people spread the word about the site, and Kim (site administrator and owner) is traveling around the country and appearing on tv shows to promote the site. All the new members is not so much of a mystery or reason to be concerned. HTH

Okay girls, I for one think the discussion has gone wrong somewhere here! What's the point of debating the issue about double posts anyway? We all know there are some "members" that come in and do smarmy things...We have great Mods that try to put a stop to that too...

I too don't understand why it matters, BUT I also really enjoy Jill's offers & I can count on them not to lead me to a bunch of crappy sites....

Jililbean, you know we love you & maybe your absence will be a reminder that when we visit you post, and use a link it would be nice to put a thanks in there to bump it up for you. Look at all of the views vs. posts.

Personally I think that it's just common courtesy to post a Thanks when you use an offer!
