I know what you're saying. I use to lie when I first started requesting "freebies". :

I started feeling badly about it and now I don't request anything that I won't/don't use. We have a business, so I feel alright requesting business samples; but make sure that it's something that we're genuinely interested in!

You do raise a good point - how far is too far - even if/when it's 'free'???

I believe that TRUTH will ALWAYS prevail!

i have in the past occassionally requested the business freebies as I do have a small business(Daycare) in my home but I haven't received any of them so I stopped - waste of time if you're not going to get it.

i too have a small biz so i don't have to lie but will if needed! love freebies! love to get stuff in the mail!

Dh runs a buisness- so if it is something that may Interest him , I Sign up for it.

I don't really Sign up for ANY freebies that I don't want or need.

It is just all useless Clutter if I am not going to even use it.

What I am wondering is Who here gets several freebies sent to Different addresses?

Now this one I am guilty of !! I send to 3 other addresses ( DH work , MIL , and Mom ) ONLY if I Really Need it.

ie- Huggies goodnights
Friskies cat food
Baby wipes and diapers

I don't know if that is really bad or not though.

but I do take drinks in to the movies. BUT ONLY drinks the movies do not sell. Nothing alcoholic, but coffee or tea.

As for freebies, I do not lie. I will take business freebies if it is something my bro can use in his business.

I do sign up my mom and bro for freebies. And one aunt out of state. Usually only from big companies or places we buy from.

I don't request the business ones, I draw the line there...and I don't request the ones I know I won't use, I figure that if it isn't abused, other companies will continue to offer freebies. Oh, I have to add, my sister worked at the movies for 4 years (in MA) and she always told me that it's not sneaking in at all, you can bring your food in a huge bag, they don't care....really....so I did it all the time, in a big bag, no hiding necessary! I think back in the "old" days they did, but trust me, I saw someone walk in once with a KFC bucket, and they were showing it for all to see, so don't feel guilty!

I do, i use my homeschool name, but i only get things that we would use and we might order from.

I also lie to get more coupons from huggies, they stop sending them out as much when your kid turns 2...... so i just had another baby

so i can keep getting coupons for my special need sons diapers

I might stretch the truth occasionally, but have really cut back on which freebies I request. I felt guilty for some of those little tiny freebies (for example, two individual sweetener packets) that come in big boxes. Seems like such a waste of packaging, time and energy for those sending and delivering.

I don't order business freebies, unless it's like for Post-Its or something. Something I can use. And I have ordered those for my sisters' MIL - she has a business.

But honestly, I don't even remember the last time I had TIME to sign up for a freebie!!

I'm starting to miss them coming in the mail...

Oh, and about sneaking food in the movie theaters...I've never snuck popcorn into one. I like THEIR popcorn much better than anything I could bring in. I haven't snuck drinks in either. I might a bottle of water though - if I ever get to go again any time soon...I think once I brought in a Snickers bar, though!! LOL!! I'd hate to think that I would sit there and eat one of their huge boxes of Milk Duds or something...LOL!!
