i found this interesting seeing that my hubby is deployed all the time lol CCFSettlement.com - Home

Please let me know if this has been posted previously, but I just wanted to let everyone know that I received a letter in the mail today regarding foreign transaction fees charged to Visa, MC, Cirrus, Mastro, and Diners club credit and debit cards. Apparently a class action lawsuit has been filed and a settlement has been reached with 3 different settlement offers available --- including the simplest option:

A $25 refund!

Anyone with the above credit cards who made a foreign purchas between 1996-2006 is eligible for the settlement. Im sure many of us were quite annoyed with this fee and I am happy that this has finally been rectified.

Check your mail for the notice which will contain your refund ID (which the website will require), otherwise check the website to fill in the required information.

For those of you who think this is a scam, please read the following article describing the suit:

On Nov. 8, 2006, a federal judge in Manhattan granted preliminary approval to a $336 million settlement of lawsuit over the foreign-currency transaction fees charged to credit card users. The settlement, signed off on by U.S. District judge William H. Pauley, covers MasterCard, Visa or Diners Club credit card users who held the credit cards between Feb. 1, 1996, and the preliminary approval date. Final approval is set for November 2007.

Thanks, my husband is in the military also. When did you guys receive the letter? And who sent it? Well hopefully we receive a letter soon, cause hubby has traveled to over 10 countries in the last five years and has made a lot of purchases.

I received my letter back in December, I think. I filled it back out but I've yet to see a check.
