Hello Everyone!! Well, the poll about changing the Freebie section and adding some new categories is over and the results were 35 for the changes and 34 against BUT, our member "dyakhi" wanted to change her vote from a yes to a no so that changes the results to 34 for and 35 against, so the against wins and we will NOT be making any changes or adding any new sections to the Freebie section.

Now, that said, many of you told us that you would like it if there was a way to change the way we the threads were posted, doing it by 'date posted' rather than 'last post' Kim did tell us that she can change the setting for our freebies section so that the threads would be listed that way, So what does everyone think about that?? Should we go ahead with that change or not??

All opinions and questions are welcome.

I would like it date posted as well. But would it still be on there when you click the new posts. I usally just click that when I get on here that way I don't have to click on every single thread. If not Thats fine just let me know I can handle going thru one thread. Thanks

I think posting by date would be great as long as the new posts aren't bumped down by comments. I remember when I started coming here I started from page 1 and worked my way to the last pages to find freebies.
If I can do it so can the newbies

BTW what about the walmart sample sticky, have you given any thought to that?

The new day's posts would stay at the top of the forum (under the stickied threads) and any new comments about each post would just be added to that thread, which would stay in the order in which it was posted. (By date and time.) This way, we would be able to just glance at the first page (or so) of threads to see the new ones posted, instead of hunting down which ones we haven't seen yet because of bumped posts. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing at all wrong with bumping a post to say "thanks" to someone for posting a freebie/sample/offer. In fact, I'm sure most members enjoy being thanked. Those type of posts would just be added to the thread, as always. They just wouldn't bump the post back up to the top like before.

And about the Walmart stickie...for me, personally, I'm not sure I'd want one. Other's might, but this is how I look at it - I like to see what others have to say about each, individual offer (whether or not it's still available, whether or not it actually comes, etc.) rather than have to search through a whole thread of offers from one specific company to find this out. KWIM? That's also why we ask members to post each offer individually so that we can talk about each one.

Thanks for the input, everyone!!
Keep it comin'!!

I am only worried about it being confusing since all the other forums wll still be the normal way.
