A girlfriend of mine told me about this when she set up a baby shower registry. Create a new registry at OneStepAhead to get a free one year subscription to Cookie, Wondertime or Family Fun.

This is how it worked for me:

I am not registered at OneStepAhead, so I went ahead and clicked on the create a registry button and filled out the information. I indicated I wanted a "Shower" registry (not sure if it works for other registries, that is just the one I chose and it worked). Use the "billing addy" and "ship to" addy as the address you want your magazine sent to...

I indicated a name for my registry, indicated it was a "shower" and a date...

I made my registry "private".

I opted out of all the information in the 'About You' area (it was optional).

Then click "create account and registry".

You have to add something to your registry before it will work...if you don't do that, it won't work.

Then...when you get redirected, just click on one of the buttons (I clicked on 'toys'). I selected a baby activity mat and on the page for the toy item, you can click on the buttom "add to registry". After you do that, you should get a page that says:

FREE OFFER
Receive a Free One Year Subscription to FamilyFun Magazine, Wondertime Magazine, or Cookie Magazine when you create your first One Step Ahead or Leaps and Bounds gift registry.

Remember...you have to add something to your registry before it will work...if you don't do that, it won't work.

Just click on the button next to the magazine you want and then the button 'sign up now'.

Good luck!

I tried but the free offer did not come up. Maybe I did something wrong.

Hmmm...weird. Some friends of mine were over today and they both did it on my computer and got the offer. Sorry! Not sure what went wrong...

If you want...PM me and I can try to help you!

Worked for me as well. When I added an item to the registry it immediately came up and asked which magazine I wanted.

It worked just fine for me. I put that I was expecting a baby, having a baby shower and picked a toy for the registry that is "exclusively theirs" (a tummy time play mat). As soon as I clicked that I wanted to add the toy to my registry the screen popped up with the three magazines. I picked one for my BF that's having a baby in four months or so.

Thank you for posting this! This is a really great freebie!

Didn't work for me the first time I tried because I made my registry a "wishlist". I went back and changed it to "Shower" and it worked for me. Thanks!
