Skyler got his $3 gift card and a call from Geoffrey on his birthday. They also send an invitation to come in to the store where they give the kid a crown and a cart with a "It's my birthday sign" and announce their birthday over the PA system

Geoffrey will also call him at home to wish happy birthday. We still have the recording on our machine!

All three of my children have been in the TRU b-day club for two years now. When thier birthday is getting close they also send a $5 off of $25 coupon in the mail.

What I do is give the $5 coupon to my kids. That way they can buy what they want with the bday money that they got. Then they also use their $3 gift card so they can save $8 total. They get really excited about it. To them it is like having $8 in cash.
