Different counties around me have started H1N1 vaccinations at school with a signed permission slip.

Here I can't get it for my kids and one is high risk.

The elementary schools did it two weeks ago tomorrow. The high school was suppose to do it the next week and now they have been pushed back in December.

They have sent paperwork home, but it states they will let us know when it's available,so apparently they don't have any yet.
My ds turns 18 in a few days and he refuses to get the shot and it clearly states on the forms that 18yrs old have to sign the permission slip themselves. He's afraid of shots, he's still mad at me for having them give him the meninigitus shot along with his tetnus booster before school started. He's not even willing to do the nasal spray.
My dd doesn't like shots either, but i will sign her up for the nasal spray.

As soon as they have them, they are offering them at school w a signed permission slip.

They've already gotten the seasonal flu shot, thank goodness! Now I have to find them for me and I can't get the nasal spray w my asthma.

Yes, here in NYC they are offering the vaccine in public schools but our school hasn't done it just yet. My son and I received the vacccine from his doctor but not my daughter b/c she needs the shot and the doctor only had intranasal. I'm very anxious for my daughter to get it b/c she has allergic asthma.

We got the permission slips from the elementary school, but no vaccine yet. According to the paper, they did get to do three schools so far, though, so I am hopeful.

They are not doing older kids, but are recommending they go to a county clinic. However, the first clinic was supposed to be this Saturday but they just announced it was cancelled. It is frustrating because neither my doc or our ped has gotten any of the vaccine, but I know several people who are not in the high risk category who have gotten it at their doctor's office.

A few years ago our elementary school gave the nasal spray, but they haven't done it since. My dh took dd2 and dd3 last week to get theirs and then Friday dd1 and I got ours. I'm not sure about the H1N1 though, there isn't a huge outbreak of it here, but that could change at any moment!

No. You'd be hard pressed to get one anywhere around here.
