What are your kids favorite books? My daughter is 5 and I'm looking for more books that she will like.

She loves Fancy Nancy by Jane O'Connor. Clifford is also a hit.

Little Critter and Berenstein Bears are huge hits here.

My older son loves the Harry Potter Books, he re-read the series over the summer. He's also interested in some true adventure type stories, books about the Civil or Revolutionary War or biographies about real figures in history. He's 11.

My younger son still loves Magic Tree House books even though they might be a little below his reading level. He's 8.

My 4 and 7 year olds love the Junie B. Jones series.

I found a shorter, easy to read Little House series, I think they are called "my First Little House" books. I have read one to them so far.

Also I read them the Ramona books by Beverly Cleary.

For my 7 yr. old that is reading, she loves the Arthur books.

My kids love any books and we have tons!!!! I still have all the sets that were my 20 yr old dd's. here are a few faves:

I love you stinky face - Lisa McCourt
Never talk to strangers - Irma Joyce
Jeepers Creepers - Laura Leuck
Who wants a dragon - James Mayhew
Wake up, me - Marni Mcgee

We buy lots of books monthly out of the scholastic flyer sent home from school. We get great priced books and the school gets free books for us buying them.

Oddly enough, The Little Red Hen is the favorite these days.

Others:
Where the Wild Things Are
The Very Hungry Caterpillar
any and all Shel Silverstein books

The Magic Tree House series is a winner. We just started the Captain Underpants series - a bit strange.
